Welcome to my page. I started this project with the intent to share some new ideas about cooking and refresh some tried and true recipes with personal health in mind. I hope you enjoy what you learn about here and looking forward to cooking with you in the years to come.

My Story

Darrin (a.k.a. The Kilted Culinarian) is a Culinary Nutrition Expert through the Academy of Culinary Nutrition. He received his B.S. in Management with honors from the University at Buffalo and a holds a Master of Adult Education from Strayer University and enjoys sharing his passion for teaching while making cooking fun and easy.

Darrin has always had a love of cooking and baking, from the first birthday cake flop to a towering carrot cake showstopper. He believes that cooking should be fun, mostly easy, but extremely rewarding. Darrin has turned everyday ingredients into healthy and delicious recipes that work to benefit the body in some way. 

​

With a focus on whole foods, Darrin uses what he has learned about healthy cooking through reading, experimentation, and the Culinary Nutrition Program to strike a balance between time, effort and personal health.
